Looking for sunshine and brighter days...

Today was a repeat of yesterday with the added bonus of a fever of 38.1. I'm hoping it will not go any higher... otherwise we're off to the hospital. At last check it had gone down to 38.0, so I think we're in the clear. Tony spent all day in bed and woke only to eat; but didn't have much of an appetite. His abdominal distention and pain is still present although the morphine is helping - we just have to take an extra pill every day.

I'd like to thank everyone for their kind birthday wishes today. I was quite overwhelmed by all the calls, comments and e-mails. But I'm hoping to postpone my birthday dinner celebration so that we can all enjoy it.

Tomorrow the A/C is being installed. It will be welcome, as would a little bit of sun...

That's all for now. Send some positive vibes our way; it can only help!

Take good care!

Renée

hi there renee, happy belated birthday to you!! I hope you'll both manage to celebrate it sometime soon. I hope Tony feels a little better, and that maybe the sun will shine today. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow, and it won't be long til you're finished with chemo.
Keep strong. all my love, juliecioriod

I found this poem on the web and thought I would share it with you. Although I do not know by whom it was written, the words resounded with me. Hang in there. Love Joanne

"Cancer is so limited . . .
It cannot cripple Love.
It cannot shatter Hope.
It cannot corrode Faith.
It cannot destroy Peace.
It cannot kill Friendship.
It cannot suppress Memories.
It cannot silence Courage.
It cannot invade the Soul.
It cannot steal eternal Life.
It cannot conquer the Spirit."
