- I am a happily married 40-year-old mother of two boys, 13 and 10. A little over 2 years ago, on our wedding anniversary (Dec.03-'04), my husband (38 years old at the time) was diagnosed with colon cancer. We have since learned that his disease has metastatised to his liver and that he has a disease called FAP. Although his case was spontaneous, meaning he did not inherit it, our sons each had a 50-50 chance of having the same gene mutation. As it turns out, our youngest son also has the gene mutation and, at his last scope, had 18 polyps. In order to deal with all of this, and other challenges, we have had to learn to live one day at a time.

Merry Christmas to you and the boys. As usual your pictures are beautiful. Christine gave birth last Tuesday to a 6lb 14oz girl named Lily Shiraz. merry xmas to you and the boys, all the pics are good to see too.I know how much you miss Tony, he was very special, you are so right about that, he had such patience with everything and never let things get him down. I hope you and the boys got through Christmas ok and onto a Happy New Year ahead. I think of you often and wish you all the strength you'll need. I know you have it.
